Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the election agent shall apply to the District Election Officer in Form 8 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the District Election Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
