Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the counting agent shall apply to the Electoral Registration Officer in Form 7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Electoral Registration Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
