Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the author shall apply to the Plant Varieties Authority in Form 18 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of four thousand rupees, and the Plant Varieties Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
