Transfer of registration.—A certificate of registration shall not be transferable: Provided that where any manager of a joint family property dies, his legal representative shall, within ninety days of the death, intimate the death to the Registrar General in Form II, surrender the certificate of registration to it and furnish a statement of every order of maintenance then held; and the Registrar General shall enter the intimation in the register within ninety days of its receipt.
