Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the occupier of land near a monument shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form III for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
