Transfer of registration.—A certificate of registration shall not be transferable: Provided that where any person presenting a document for registration dies, his legal representative shall, within three hundred and sixty-five days of the death, intimate the death to the Collector in Form 1, surrender the certificate of registration to it and furnish a statement of every possession certificate then held; and the Collector shall enter the intimation in the register within ninety days of its receipt.
