Application for registration.—Every authorised user of a geographical indication carrying on the use of a geographical indication shall make an application for registration to the Registrar of Geographical Indications in Form 18, within ninety days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of twenty thousand rupees and a statement of every register of patents held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for forty-five days from that date.
