Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the holder of a public office shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form H for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
