Definitions.—In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1954 (West Bengal Act 1 of 1954); (b) "landholder" means a person carrying on the holding of land; (c) "record of rights" means a record of rights received, held or disposed of by a landholder in the course of the holding of land; (d) "Form 7" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
