Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the manufacturer shall apply to the Commissioner in Form E for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
