Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the riparian owner shall apply to the Canal Officer in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees, and the Canal Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
