Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the carrier shall apply to the Government of Uttar Pradesh in Form X for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
