Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the dealer in arms and ammunition shall apply to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Form II for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
