Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the common carrier shall apply to the Highway Administration in Form 29 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Highway Administration shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
