Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the accountant shall apply to the Joint Commissioner in Form 15G for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Joint Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
