Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the publisher shall apply to the Registrar of Copyrights in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of eight thousand rupees, and the Registrar of Copyrights shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
