Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the agent shall apply to the Controller General in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Controller General shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
