Surrender of certificate.—Every allottee of surplus land who ceases to carry on the holding of allotted surplus land shall, within one hundred and eighty days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Settlement Officer in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 14 of the manner in which every survey number held by him has been disposed of.
