Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Government of Himachal Pradesh in the custody of the Drawing and Disbursing Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Government of Himachal Pradesh; and where the Drawing and Disbursing Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form GFR 21 within fourteen days of the succession.
