Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the emigrant shall apply to the Government of Himachal Pradesh in Form E for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees, and the Government of Himachal Pradesh shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
