Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the insurer shall apply to the Tariff Advisory Committee in Form IRDA-7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Tariff Advisory Committee shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
