Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the surveyor shall apply to the Authority in Form IRDA-7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within seven days of the application.
