Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the mortgagee of agricultural land shall apply to the Revenue Divisional Officer in Form 8 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
