Surrender of certificate.—Every overseas citizen of India who ceases to carry on the holding of an overseas citizen of India card shall, within one hundred and eighty days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the civil authority in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form A of the manner in which every residential permit held by him has been disposed of.
