Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a motor vehicle shall apply to the Highway Administration in Form 30 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Highway Administration shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
