Surrender of certificate.—Every seaman who ceases to carry on service on a ship shall, within seven days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Conservator of the Port in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 7 of the manner in which every crew list held by him has been disposed of.
