Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the tenant shall apply to the State Government in Form 14 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the State Government shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
