Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the operator of a ferry shall apply to the District Collector in Form 4 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the District Collector shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within seven days of the application.
