Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the recruitment and placement agency for seafarers shall apply to the Registrar of Ships in Form 1 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Registrar of Ships shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
