Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of premises used as a polling station shall apply to the State Election Commission in Form 17A for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees, and the State Election Commission shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
