Application for registration.—Every owner of an inland vessel carrying on the plying of an inland vessel shall make an application for registration to the Government of Puducherry in Form 2, within ninety days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees and a statement of every bill of lading held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for fourteen days from that date.
