Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Chief Wild Life Warden in the custody of the Forest Guard, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Chief Wild Life Warden; and where the Forest Guard having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form II within seven days of the succession.
