Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the State Government in the custody of the Village Accountant, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the State Government; and where the Village Accountant having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form 12 within thirty days of the succession.
