Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the keeper of a public register shall apply to the Lokpal in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees, and the Lokpal shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
