Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the District Registering Authority in the custody of the Chief Medical Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the District Registering Authority; and where the Chief Medical Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form 29 within fourteen days of the succession.
