Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the certifying authority shall apply to the Controller in Form G for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Controller shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within three days of the application.
