Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of land within a cantonment shall apply to the Defence Estates Officer in Form E for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees, and the Defence Estates Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
