Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the landlord letting premises to foreigners shall apply to the Registration Officer in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the Registration Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
