Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the public officer shall apply to the Collector in Form F for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Collector shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
