Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the enrolled person shall apply to the Defence Estates Officer in Form E for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Defence Estates Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
