Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registering officer shall apply to the District Registrar in Form G for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five rupees, and the District Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
