Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the occupier shall apply to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests in Form VIII for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
