Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a motor transport undertaking shall apply to the Licensing Officer in Form V for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Licensing Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within seven days of the application.
