Application for registration.—Every person presenting a document for registration carrying on the presentation of documents for registration shall make an application for registration to the Collector in Form 8, within fifteen days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees and a statement of every notice of acquisition held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for one hundred and twenty days from that date.
