Application for registration.—Every registered elector carrying on the exercise of the franchise shall make an application for registration to the Chief Electoral Officer in Form 6, within forty-five days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees and a statement of every ballot paper held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for fourteen days from that date.
