Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registered elector shall apply to the Chief Electoral Officer in Form 2B for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Chief Electoral Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
