Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the transporter of goods shall apply to the Principal Commissioner in Form GSTR-1 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Principal Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
