Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the permit holder shall apply to the Transport Commissioner in Form 38 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Transport Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
