Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the surety shall apply to the Registrar General in Form B for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Registrar General shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
