Transfer of registration.—A certificate of registration shall not be transferable: Provided that where any manager of a joint family property dies, his legal representative shall, within forty-five days of the death, intimate the death to the Government of West Bengal in Form I, surrender the certificate of registration to it and furnish a statement of every inventory of the estate then held; and the Government of West Bengal shall enter the intimation in the register within forty-five days of its receipt.
